To assist patients in maintaining their dental healthcare during these trying economic times, Buzbee Dental announces the Layaway Payment Plan option. In preparation for upcoming dental treatment, the Layaway Payment Plan allows patients to make convenient monthly payments over a planned period of time. Treatment is scheduled upon payment for the procedure. Ask a patient scheduler or our treatment coordinator for more details on how you can begin Layaway Payment. If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.
Insurance
If your insurance covers dental treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Insurance policies vary, so we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims as a courtesy to you.
Buzbee is a preferred provider for most insurance companies.
To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire.Please remember that dental insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

2012 Dental Insurance Changes
The dental insurance plan for Mercy St. John’s employees will change effective on January 1, 2012. At Buzbee Dental we strive to be proactive in our approach to providing quality care to our patients. This approach extends from preventive education, advanced technology and patient awareness to communicating dental insurance benefits and dental insurance plan changes. It has been brought to our attention that the current dental insurance company for St. John’s employees will change from Mercy to MetLife as of January 1, 2012.
Under the MetLife Dental Insurance Plan, Buzbee Dental is not listed as a preferred provider BUT we do accept this insurance. For your convenience, we are pleased to file your treatment claims on your behalf to your new insurance company. For those who wish, we will submit pre-treatment estimates prior to any treatment. The term preferred provider means that the participating dentists on the list have agreed to a contract with the insurance carrier using a fee schedule structure for specific services.
We realize that dental insurance is complex and that it is extremely difficult at times to understand how to make it work. That is why we provide full assistance to you. Dental insurance is a contract between your employer and a dental insurance company. The benefits that you will receive are based on the terms of the contract that were negotiated between your employer and the dental insurance company and not your dental office.
In summary, to continue to serve as your dental provider we will need to file your insurance on your behalf with MetLife come January 2012. Upon your request, our office will complete and submit dental insurance forms to MetLife to achieve the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled and will work diligently to make this happen as quickly as possible.
