At Buzbee Dental we are utilizing the most up-to-date technological advancements available in our field such as the NewTom VGi CT Scanner. It is always our mission to enhance your experience with us by assuring that we stay on the cutting-edge of technology, thus guaranteeing that the quality of care you receive here is second to none. In fact, we are very proud to be the first practice within the United States to install this NewTom VGi dental unit.

The NewTom VGi represents the latest in CB3D technology including Cone Beam 3-D imaging that uses a cone-shaped beam to capture a complete image in a single pass, resulting in more accurate imaging without gaps in critical information.

This efficient new method also considerably lessens radiation exposure to you. NewTom systems employ Safe Beam™ technology that will automatically adjust the level of radiation you are exposed to based on your age and size, making it the safest technology on the market today.

The NewTom VGi takes an image at every degree of rotation. 360° of rotation results in an impressive 360 images taken in a matter of seconds. This level of thorough accuracy has had a significant impact on the quality of dental analysis, diagnosis and treatment planning.

The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) prescribes the use of Cone Beam 3-D imaging in cases involving the evaluation of periodontal, implant and oral/maxillofacial surgery patients.

Digital X-rays

We offer one of the latest technological advances in dentistry with digital radiography (X-rays). A wireless sensor is placed in the mouth, and a computer generates an image in 30 seconds as opposed to the general 4-6 minute wait time for images taken on dental film. These X-rays can also be enhanced on the computer and enlarged.

Not only are they friendly to the environment, they are much safer than traditional X-rays. Digital radiographs reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent!

Intraoral Cameras

The standard X-ray is essential in determining any dental problems you may have, but unfortunately, it may not reveal everything happening inside your mouth. We are proud to utilize an intraoral camera in our office.

An intraoral camera can project an image of your tooth onto a monitor, so you can see the problem in a magnified version and how we can correct the issue. It can also identify problems that may not be detected by the general means of examination, including cracks in your fillings or fractured teeth. Similar to the size and design of a dental mirror, an intraoral camera allows you to make better decisions regarding your treatment as you can see the same things we see.

Laser Cavity Detection System

Buzbee uses the DIAGNOdent Classic from KaVo. Did you know that half of cavities found in your teeth could go undetected by current diagnostic techniques? However, our office now offers a new diagnostic method that can more accurately define caries in teeth.

We offer a unique service that can detect caries at the earliest stage. The DIAGNOdent Laser Caries Detector is over 90 percent accurate in detecting even the smallest lesions that don’t even appear on X-rays! Early detection enables us to better preserve and protect your teeth.

The DIAGNOdent Laser Caries Detector boasts a high patient acceptance and satisfaction with its quick, simple and painless nature.

CEREC

We offer CEREC technology for restorations. With this new technology, we can create ceramic restorations, including crowns, fillings and veneers, right in our office, so it will only take a single appointment.

A digital 3D camera creates a digital image, replacing the more traditional impression. The computer-aided design (CAD) software enables us to design and create a precise restoration specific to your dental needs.
